One cannot deny that the benefits of martial arts can be essential to one's mental and physical being. The lessons of martial arts are embedded into a person's brain, therefore leaving them unable to forget the many beneficial aspects of martial arts training. Students who lack self-esteem gain a lot of it back within months of training. Students do not have to resort to violence outside of the ring when they are angry; they can let it all out in a controlled environment. Martial arts is not about learning self-defense, but simply the essence of gaining discipline, harboring respect, learning the valuableness of teamwork, and increasing confidence.
